Reflexology is a non-invasive complementary therapy that uses gentle pressure and massage techniques to the feet, hands or other areas of the body. It is often used to promote relaxation, wellbeing and a sense of calm.
Reflexology is based on the traditional theory that particular areas of the feet, hands and other parts of the body correspond with different organs and systems within the body.
Lynn, our reflexologist, works these reflex areas using gentle pressure and massage techniques, creating a relaxing and welcoming environment where you can take some time for yourself.
What Can It Do For You?
Reflexology may help to:
promote deep relaxation
support a sense of wellbeing
provide time for rest and self-care
reduce everyday tension and stress
encourage you to take time to focus on your own wellbeing
Reflexology is a complementary therapy and can be used alongside standard healthcare. It is not intended to diagnose, treat or cure medical conditions. There is limited evidence about exactly how reflexology works, although research into touch therapies and relaxation suggests there may be positive effects on wellbeing.
